Revilla now has a successor in Cantabria: Paula Fernández will be the Regionalist Party candidate.

Former Cantabrian President Miguel Ángel Revilla now has a successor ahead of the regional elections in May 2027. It will be former councilor Paula Fernández, who defeated the other candidate, Pablo Diestro, in the Cantabrian Regionalist Party primaries with 65.3% of the vote.
