Carrillo justified her peculiar plea due to the "institutional harassment" she claims to be suffering from legal proceedings related to her divorce from her ex-husband. The crusade against judges is not the only one she has open. In the last two years, Carrillo has focused her attacks on the mayor of Los Realejos, Adolfo González, after the council unanimously approved to financially sanction her for "infringing the ordinance on responsible animal ownership." The fine was imposed after several complaints from about thirty residents of the urbanization where she lived, because her two dogs were always alone on a terrace "without food, without cleaning, and barking for hours." The two dogs have since been in a shelter in the municipality. After Carrillo uttered death threats against the mayor, he filed a complaint and requested a "restraining order" as a precautionary measure.
