Madrid Court deals setback in Peinado case: it clears the Spanish government delegate in Madrid of charges.
The Madrid Provincial Court has dealt a blow to Judge Juan Carlos Peinado's investigation into the Begoña Gómez case, involving the wife of the Spanish Prime Minister. It has ordered him to drop the charges against Francisco Martín Aguirre because it sees "no evidence" against the Spanish government's delegate in Madrid in the alleged embezzlement.
