BarcelonaEusebi Campdepadrós, former secretary of the Parliament's bureau, leaves Junts. As ARA has been able to learn, Campdepadrós communicated his decision to the party's executive a few days ago, on July 27, when he announced that he was leaving the formation after the Supreme Court had applied the amnesty to him. He considered, in this way, that his political stage had ended. Contacted by ARA, the now former Junts militant did not wish to make any statements on the matter.

Campdepadrós was the head of Junts' list in Tarragona in the 2017 elections, the elections called by the Spanish government after the application of Article 155 following 1-O. He was elected deputy and also first secretary of the Parliament's bureau, a position he held from 2018 to 2020. This was the legislature after 1-O. The judicialization continued with the trial of the members of that bureau of the Catalan chamber for having processed resolutions on self-determination and rejection of the monarchy.

The High Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) ended up acquitting them in November 2022 because it considered that it had not been "proven" that the defendants wished to disobey the mandates of the Constitutional Court. In this way, the bureau chaired by Roger Torrent and of which Josep Costa was also vice-president and the secretaries Eusebi Campdepadrós and Adriana Delgado were members, were freed from the fine of up to 30,000 euros and the disqualification of one year and eight months that the Prosecutor's Office had requested from them. Two weeks ago, the Supreme Court completely annulled this case when it applied the amnesty to them.

After his time in the Parliament's bureau, Campdepadrós moved to the Government after Junts reached an agreement with ERC to invest Pere Aragonès as President of the Generalitat. The now former Junts militant was appointed secretary for the Administration of Justice, a position he held within the department directed by Lourdes Ciuró. His time in the Government ended when Junts decided to break the coalition with ERC in 2021. Since then, Campdepadrós had distanced himself from the party.
