One of the most highly regarded figures in the Catalan People's Party (PP), the mayor of Badalona, Xavier García Albiol, was elected president of the PP congress, which begins today. The PP leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, thus honored the mayor of the country's fourth most populous city.
