New blow to Shakira's tour, who will not perform in Medellin: "It's not in my hands"

The organizing company has announced that the stage structure has suffered damage

BarcelonaShakira has many problems to carry out her tour Women Don't Cry World Tour. Before kicking off more than four months of concerts across the American continent, raising her two children with Gerard Piqué was already a matter of debate. Later she had to cancel the concert in Peru for health reasons and this Monday she will not be able to dazzle her fans in Medellín either due to technical problems.

"People of Medellín! It hurts me a lot not to be able to go up on stage and sing for all of you, as much as I wanted to. My children were excited to get to know Medellín and I was excited to meet you again and share all the surprises I had prepared for you," begins the statement from ~~~.

But the concert will not be able to take place, for reasons that the singer has not specified either, although she has assured that it is not in her hands or in those of the production team. "I am very sorry for the inconvenience, especially for those who have traveled," says the singer in the statement, in which she also assures that she will soon find a new date for the concert, although she does not specify when the rescheduling would be.

Although the statement ends by regretting the unforeseen without specifying the reason for the events, the organizing company, Páramo Presenta, explained that during the assembly of the stage at the Atanasio Girardot stadium "the roof of the stage installed by the local production has suffered very minor damage, it shows the damage it shows," it says.

At this point, the organizer has already notified that in the next few days the process for refunding tickets will begin, which will mean a million-dollar loss for the organizing company and also for local businesses, which had prepared for the event. "We understand that this decision may be annoying for the public who were anxiously awaiting the show, but the important thing is the safety of everyone," says the statement from Páramo Presenta.
