BarcelonaPopular Catalan actress Patrícia Bargalló has confessed that she has been living in a squat in the Vallcarca neighborhood of Barcelona for 14 years. During her appearance on the TV3 program Between four walls, the actress makes a staunch defense of access to housing: "It's a right, and you can't speculate with a right." The activist, who has appeared in series such as Marline, The heart of the city and Unfaithful, explains her commitment to the recovery of abandoned spaces that are used for speculation.

"It's a very small apartment, 55 square meters. I gave birth to my little girl in this room, and in Bruc, in the dining room [...]. My children were literally born here," explains Bargalló. The actress also describes the renovation work they had to do to live in the premises: "This was terrible. It was a pigeon house full of shit. Before, it wasn't habitable, but a lot of work has been done and now they are lovely little houses. You make the spaces yours when you live in them. And this space is our home." However, as the program's presenter, architect Núria Moliner, explains, Bargalló will soon leave this apartment in Vallcarca to go live in a cooperative housing in the same neighborhood.
