American rapper Tyga moves into a luxury penthouse in Barcelona.
"Going out onto the terrace and having the Barça stadium in view is priceless," says the musician.

BarcelonaAmerican singer Michael Ray Stevenson (Compton, California, 1989), known by the stage name Tyga, is one of Barcelona's newest residents. The rapper has moved into a majestic luxury penthouse in Pedralbes, and the magazine Architectural Digest has interviewed him to talk about the home and his move from Los Angeles to the Catalan capital. The main reason for the change of address, the artist explains, is his 12-year-old son, King Cairo, and his dream of playing for FC Barcelona. In fact, one of the main objects in the penthouse is precisely a ball with the Barça colors and crest.
"I'm a huge soccer fan, of course, and a huge Barça fan. So is my son. Walking out onto the terrace of this apartment and having the stadium in view is priceless. This is what really attracted me to this penthouse in particular," the musician explains in the report. In fact, the singer has settled in Barcelona for almost a year and hopes to establish a close bond with the city. "I'm clear that Spain and Barcelona will serve as inspiration for my music going forward," he assures.
With a Jamaican father and a Vietnamese mother and a career full of international hits, Tyga is one of the most fashionable rappers on the contemporary scene. Among his hits There are songs like Tasting, Himself and The mottoIn Spain he became especially known in 2019, when he made a version of the Macarena, from Los del Río. He has also been in the headlines of the tabloids after dating Kylie Jenner -to whom he gave a Ferrari for his 18th birthday–, by model Demi Rose and singer Avril Lavigne.
The couch, her favorite place
To settle in Barcelona, Tyga chose a modern and bright penthouse in the style of those in New York. "I wanted to fill it with modern, white, clean furniture, where I could display a bunch of art," says the singer, who also wanted to give space to his collector side. In the Pedralbes apartment, Tyga has installed pieces by emerging artists, from Kave Gallery, as well as works from Japanese art. The sofa in the main living room is, for him, one of the essential spaces in the penthouse. "It's my favorite spot in the house. I like to sit here because from the living room I have a view of the trees. It makes me feel like I'm on vacation," emphasizes the rapper, who wanted to make this penthouse a reflection of his personality: "It has everything that makes me feel comfortable."
