What if Emmanuel Macron is a woman?

In early July, the French courts acquitted two women who had claimed on social media that Brigitte Macron, the wife of the President of the French Republic, is transgender. In their comments, they listed the multiple surgeries she had allegedly undergone and claimed that she was not the biological mother of their children. A court ordered them to pay eight thousand euros to the first lady in September 2024, but they were acquitted ten months later, a decision that the Macrons appealed to the French Court of Cassation. Furthermore, her lawyer recently explained that Brigitte is determined to provide scientific and photographic evidence in court to "prove" that she is a woman, after the influencer ultra Candace Owens has dedicated several podcasts and a book to denying it.
First of all, it must be taken into account that when the Macron marriage defense, hands over the battlefield to those who want to defame them. I mean: they weren't defamed before they responded; they were defamed once they responded, from the moment they accepted that being trans is an offense and that a less canonical femininity must be justified with evidence.
Clearly, the attack operates from a sexist logic: not only because the target is the woman (as has also been the case with Michelle Obama and Begoña Gómez, who have received the same comments), but because the purpose is to damage the man's reputation by attempting to hurt his masculinity. When it is stated that Brigitte Macron is trans, the aim is to insinuate that Emmanuel Macron is not with a woman. reallyThe president has, or has had, non-normative sexual tendencies. And the thinking that harms them works like this: suspicion is raised about whether the president fell in love with a woman who wasn't normative (according to the right and TERF feminisms), whether she had surgery at the time or not, the type of sexual relationships she had in the past (and present), or whether her desire is...
This is the doubt they are creating. I can understand why it is scandalous for conservatives. It happens that when one reacts vehemently toaccusation, what he implicitly states is that it seems that way to him too. And the final message, the conclusion, is that the President of the Republic considers loving a trans person degrading, almost degenerate. However, on closer inspection, it's not at all surprising that someone with Macron's political profile believes these comments are slander. In fact, the odd thing would be if he denied them in a statement and, furthermore, hammered home: "But if all this were true, what would happen?"
There is also a question of order in all this. The sexual norm goes hand in hand with the rest of the social norms: to maintain the stability of a heterosexual family with children (and everything else) pack Attached: house, stable jobs, established roles, obedience to codes) is a sign of social order. Thus, everything that does not conform to the sexual norm is related to civic disorder. The historical example is that of lovers: although having lovers, in the case of powerful and rich men, is the most common, the code states that if these relationships are secret, nothing happens. The only problem with lovers, from this perspective, is that they are discovered: if this happens, then they become a sign of perfidy and disorder. Look at the Koldo case and the prostitutes: the scandal is not that he was a whore, the scandal is that we know about it and reveal his private conversations. The same thing happens here: Macron's desire must be orderly. And accuse him Being with a trans woman is like finally uncovering a secret that reveals chaos and social disarray. The same goes for gay politicians: it doesn't matter if they're gay as long as they portray their public homosexuality as an almost identical declension of the heterosexual norm (oh, what would happen if we opened their phones and discovered their Grindrs?!).
With all this, I wonder why not accuse directly Emmanuel Macron of being a woman. Wouldn't it be easier? The answer is probably not. Because the pillar they weaken, with the attacks In Brigitte Macron, it's not her femininity, but his masculinity at the expense of her femininity. If Macron were a woman, it could still become a tale of heroism and epic: those of you who have seen Conclave And he's reached the end, you know what I'm talking about. On the other hand, if they attack his wife, whom they conceive of as an extension, another element of his success, they completely amend the character. They destroy him.
But seriously, what if Emmanuel Macron is a woman?
