The court will have found more credible the lies admitted by Rodríguez himself during the trial and the tearful lamentations of Ayuso's partner, González Amador – "Either I leave Spain or I become Swiss" – who did not pass on information for days before the Attorney General's email began circulating. As far as we saw in the oral proceedings, the prosecution was unable to present any evidence, and for this reason some legal experts even publicly stated that with this weakness of evidence, a conviction would be equivalent to malfeasance. (five of the seven, two disagreed) which are proven facts. In short, what began as a case of tax fraud has ended up becoming a conviction of the Attorney General, who, in addition, will have to compensate González Amador for the PSOE's warning: he had destroyed the (not very thick) walls of the separation of powers, and it was only a matter of time before it was Pedro Sánchez's turn, invested as president thanks to the votes of Puigdemont's party.
