A group from Sagunt has created a poster, as a lure for the municipal festivities, with the drawing of a laughing woman being penetrated by a bull and a slogan that illustrates it: "A hole is a hole; for an afternoon it's fine". The Vox spokesperson for the City Council took a photo with a t-shirt printed with the poster and his party spread it online, because it is "an honor" —I translate— "to see how the neighbors keep alive the identity, effort, and unity that characterize our municipality". The Feminist Coordinator of Camp de Morvedre has denounced the poster for being "clearly denigrating" and an attack "against women's rights".
If the poster were the same, with the drawing of the zoophilic act, and a slogan that said “Have a good time” there would be nothing to say. In this case, there is no animal abuse, because it is the bull that penetrates the woman. The woman, apparently, is very happy to be penetrated by a bull. But the slogan speaks from the male point of view about the female. It uses that club phrase, when someone has to settle for what's left if they want to have sexual relations. “A hole is a hole”. It refers to the female genitalia, in this case, although men also say it about other men. “For one night it’s fine”. It means that “the hole” can be surrounded by a body that is unpleasant by the bull's standards, but between a hole and nothing, the hole. Many women, naturally, also make this comment (anatomically adapted) in clubs, after a night of little success. But no festival committee would think of making the same drawing with a slogan that said “Make her lettuce, a turnip is a turnip”, because they would say it is vexatious towards men (and it would be true).
I am sorry to imagine the girls and young women who will participate in the festival and will see, of course, the poster. “We are a hole”. “They” say it, because the poster is directed at “them”, it is a wink between penetrating males.
