We read in the ARA A report from a listener (who was unaware of the existence of this figure or entity) on the expenses of Catalan parliamentary groups during 2024 "is stirring up controversy again."

Vox paid with Parliament funds for "a lunch with members of parliament and advisors of the organized group" that cost 2,605 euros, of which 184 were for high-proof alcohol. They have already returned it, which I think is great. Together they spent about 47,500 euros on travel, meals, and organizing a working day in Belgium with 60 people. The breakdown is not detailed.

I don't know how many people participated in this Vox lunch. The report only mentions "high-proof alcohol"; therefore, there is no mention of wine and beer, but there could have been whiskey or gin and tonics, any other cocktail, or perhaps some thimbleful of... grappa either pomaceA meal costing €2,605, of which only €184 is for alcohol, is very disproportionate. I mean, €184 is a small amount, considering they spent €2,605 in total.

Business lunches are more painful than good in the restaurant and wine sectors. José María Aznar sayingAre you going to tell me how many drinks I should or shouldn't have?"Or Mazón at El Ventorro taking longer than expected on a crucial day, perhaps because he peeled a prawn and sipped champagne like in the movies, or a political party making gin and tonics with herbs... they drive away young people, they drive away people who consider honest work when they're not paid and they have to be paid fairly (we have plenty of this), we can't deduct it, and even though journalists, when they go to report on their activities, take a packed lunch, food and wine should never seem like an excess of..." rich peopleThey have to be scenery, culture, and leisurely conversation. Enjoying these pleasures when you pay for them with your own effort is what you have to do to honor those who dedicate themselves to them.
