BarcelonaIdilia Foods – a food company that makes the Nocilla, Colacao, Paladín and Okey brands – closed last year with a turnover of 204 million euros, which represents an increase of 7.4% compared to the 2023 financial year, as reported by the company in a statement.

2024 was a notable year for the company, as in June it acquired 50% of the capital of the milkshake company Cacaolat. Idilia currently shares the shareholding of Cacaolat equally with the brewery Damm, from which it bought the shares. Although Idilia was a direct competitor of Cacaolat through the Okey and Colacao Shake milkshakes, the competition authorities They definitively authorized the operation in November.

Idilia has its origins in 1945 in the Gràcia district of Barcelona, ​​​​when Nutrexpa was founded, owned by the Ferrero family. To facilitate succession within the company, the group was divided into two separate companies in 2014: Idilia Foods and Adam Foods. The first kept the chocolate and milkshake business, while the rest of the food brands were grouped into the second.

The company closed 2024 with a workforce of about 350 workers. The company has its operational headquarters in the Barcelona district of Horta-Guinardó, but in January 2018 it moved its headquarters to Valencia following the independence referendum on October 1.
