The ECB closes 2024 with historic losses of almost €8 billion

The European Central Bank (ECB) recorded the largest losses in the institution's history in 2024, after recording losses of 7.944 billion euros, which means six times the losses of 1.266 billion recorded in 2023 and accumulating two consecutive years in the red.
