The Capgrossos step up the pace on a rain-soaked weekend
Premià de Mar and Torredembarra enjoy castles again

The stormy weather in Catalonia this weekend has had repercussions on the human tower community. Weather conditions and Civil Protection warnings forced the cancellation of all Saturday's performances, something unprecedented until now. The downpours prevented the planned attempts at nine-story human towers in Altafulla and Sants. On Sunday, however, the scheduled events took place, with the exception of Cubelles, which was badly damaged by the storm. Nine-story constructions were also seen in Premià de Mar and Torredembarra.
The Bigheads face Les Santes.
The Mataró natives are just a week away from Les Santes and wanted to have all their cards in hand before a possible assault on the Extra Range. So, this weekend they debuted the 4 of 9 with a lining in a performance in which they made up to four castells, with the three and two lined and the 5 of 8.
Filming of 9 in Torredembarra
The Diada del Cuadro de Santa Rosalia in Torredembarra once again offered a good day of human towers, with nine towers from the Jove de Tarragona and Joves de Valls groups. The Tarragona group managed to collect both the four and three towers, while the Vallencs group only managed to collect the last one and the mid- and high-end eight.
For their part, the Nois de la Torre reaffirmed their best performance of the year, with five and seven out of seven towers as outstanding.
Historic 3 of 7 from Viladecans
The Castellers de Viladecans put in a dream performance. The Baix Llobregat team recorded their first 3 out of 7 wins, which also came after their second 4 out of 7 wins.
