Silence improves the S01, Europe's best-selling electric motorcycle

BarcelonaFor the past five years, the Silence S01, a motorcycle manufactured at the brand's plant in Zona Franca, in part of the former Nissan facilities, has been the best-selling electric motorcycle in Europe. Now, Acciona's mobility brand aims to go further with a series of mechanical and structural innovations to its flagship product, with which it hopes to continue leading the electric motorcycle segment on the continent.

The new Silence S01 uses a completely revamped rear suspension system thanks to the use of new adjustable shock absorbers, which in the higher-end versions, called Plus, will be manufactured by the prestigious Öhlins brand. Thanks to the use of this new rear suspension system, the leading electric motorcycle promises a more efficient, dynamic, comfortable, and safe ride.

The other major new feature of the S01 is the increase in power and top speed, as it is now capable of reaching and exceeding 110 km/h (68 mph), thus multiplying the electric motorcycle's capabilities even on interurban routes. Finally, the S01 incorporates some small aesthetic details, such as larger logos, which emphasize its character and aesthetics, and maintains the interchangeable battery system that allows a depleted battery to be replaced with a fully charged one in less than a minute.

The key to the S01's success also lies in its price, and Silence offers two product purchase options aimed at different types and needs of consumers. A first-class subscription option allows the customer to purchase the motorcycle for €3,950, but with a battery subscription fee. Customers who also wish to purchase the battery can do so for a final price of €4,950. Finally, the S01 Plus version, with improved features and high-performance Öhlins shock absorbers, will be priced at €5,140 in the battery subscription option and €6,140 if the buyer chooses to also purchase the battery.
