Sau returns with a tour and a movie
Fredrik, from Euforia, will be the singer for the concerts, but Carles Sabater's voice will also be heard.

BarcelonaThe band Sau will return to the stage this fall, joined by Pep Sala and a new singer, Fredrik, one of the young musicians who participated in the program. EuphoriaSau's new tour will pass through fifteen venues across the country, will last throughout the next year and will coincide with the premiere of a fiction film based on the story of the band led by Carles Sabater and Pep Sala, a biopic titled Those from Sau, which will be directed by actress and screenwriter Elisabet Terri. A movie concert because it will coincide with the filming and premiere of the film at the end of 2025, and will even use footage to project it during the show, whether unpublished images or exclusive fragments of the film. The stage will resonate the great achievements that marked more than a generation and even the voice of Sabater will be heard and historical images will be projected. Pep Sala rules out that the project goes beyond that show, linked to the release of the film. The repertoire will basically be the soundtrack of the film (which will incorporate the original songs from the Sabater era) and songs from all the albums will appear.
In fact, Sau has continued alive through the band Sau30, which Pep Sala launched in 2017 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the group. The concerts featured the hits de Sau, but also other later songs by the guitarist, composer and singer, such as those of new album that they released at the end of 2024. Now the band Sau30 is simply transforming into Sau for a year, and its singer, Jonathan Argüelles, will be one of its collaborators. The new singer will be Fredrik Strand, a young musician from Llançà, born in Stockholm, who trained at the Liceu Conservatory and was born the same year as Sabater's death. In the film, which takes place between 1986 and 1999—from the time Sala and Sabater met in a television interview until the singer's death 26 years ago at a concert in Vilafranca del Penedès—the performers are Pol Monen (Pep Sala), Guim Puig (Carles Sabater), and Guillermo Lasheras (.
