Sau returns to the stage with 'A Movie Concert'

The legendary Catalan band Sau returns to the stage with a unique and unrepeatable 10-concert tour: A movie concertThis new show arrives a quarter of a century after the death of Carles Sabater and the end of the legendary Catalan rock band, and coinciding with the filming of the movie Those from Sau, a biographical work about the band's career. The film is scheduled for release this winter on a date yet to be confirmed.

A movie concert It is an immersive audiovisual experience that will combine previously unseen images of the band, exclusive fragments of the film Those from Sau And, of course, the group's greatest achievements that defined a generation. These images will be projected on a large screen, which will be the centerpiece of the show, creating a deep visual and emotional connection with the audience.

Special guest for the new tour

With Pep Sala at the helm, Sau's band will feature the collaboration of various artists, among which stands out the presence of Fredrik Strand as vocalist (emerging artist with great projection and finalist ofEuphoria, (TV3). For this show, Sau has prepared an exceptional artistic proposal that connects past and present by combining live music with audio and video recordings of Sau's band, including Carlos Sabater.

On this tour—which will be more of a show than a Sau comeback tour—they don't intend to restart their career or record albums, but rather to do a unique and exclusive tour linked to the film about Sau. It will be one-off and intended to offer something as close to a band concert as possible. During the show, sequences from the film, previously unseen images shot for the live shows, and archive photos will be screened. There will even be moments when Carles Sabater will be present, both vocally and with photographs.

Fredrik's presence on this tour was a natural fit. The musician and singer was born in Stockholm on March 4, 1999, just 19 days after the death of Carles Sabater, and since the age of 5 has lived in Llançà, the town where the Sau singer is buried. Fredrik doesn't intend to resemble Carlos Sabater, but he does intend to preserve his roots and respect for Sau's work. His connection with the Sau universe and his way of interpreting the songs give them a new dimension that will thrill both longtime fans and those discovering the band for the first time.

All in all, the return of the Catalan band will be an opportunity to relive the essence of Sau's concerts from the 1990s, with a format designed especially for theaters and auditoriums in Catalonia during the years 2025 and 2026.

The tour's repertoire of songs is determined by two main factors. First, they will be songs that are part of the film's soundtrack. Those from Sau And, on the other hand, they want to present a song from each album to represent all the eras of Sau's career, without a chronological order.

The tour will begin on October 18, 2025, in Valls, an event that will mark the starting point of an exciting musical journey. Other cities confirmed so far are Vic, Inca, Barcelona, ​​​​Terrassa, Figueres, Mataró, Tarragona, Sabadell, and Sant Cugat.
