Santander sells 49% of its Polish subsidiary for €7 billion

Banco Santander has sold 49% of its shares in Santander Polska, its subsidiary in Poland, for €6.8 billion to the Austrian group Erste Bank, in addition to another €200 million for 50% of its asset management business in the same country, according to Santander itself.
