Pere Tarrés Foundation summer camps: adventure by day and magic by night
The Pere Tarrés Foundation's summer camps are a summer classic in Catalonia. For over sixty years, the organization has organized educational leisure activities year-round, especially in summer.

When summer arrives and schools close their doors, thousands of Catalan families prepare for an almost ritual event: summer camps. With more than sixty years of experience in the world of educational leisure, the Pere Tarrés Foundation has become a leading institution in Catalonia, enthusiastically and professionally preparing summer camps for children and young people to spend free time full of activities and learning. In 2024, nearly 2,000 children and young people participated, divided into fifty camp shifts organized throughout Catalonia.
This educational model is built on three main pillars: a team of trained and committed instructors, a complete and varied program of activities, and a network of adapted facilities. Most of the educators have trained at the Pere Tarrés Foundation's training center, considered one of the most renowned in the country. Each shift is attended by a director and a team of educators who become role models for the children and young people. Activities take place in a network of more than 15 camps throughout Catalonia, equipped with their own kitchens, adapted facilities, qualified staff, and multipurpose spaces for the different educational programs. The menus follow the Mediterranean diet and take into account any allergies or specific dietary needs. Families are also welcome: informational meetings are held beforehand, and a Telegram group is available to follow the day-to-day activities.
A wide range of activities for all tastes
Camps are an educational opportunity where children can grow in values, develop skills and strengthen their self-esteem, all in a safe and natural environment, Disconnect from screens and become the protagonists of the adventures they experience every day. Through play, socializing, and outdoor activities, children learn to share, respect, make decisions, and become more independent. The Pere Tarrés Foundation's summer camp offering is as broad as it is diverse. This year's catalog includes classic multi-sport or nautical camps such as sailing, rafting, or paddle, to new themes like the circus or Ancient Egypt. There are also options for lovers of cooking, dance, nature, and even video games; summer camps designed for young people to try out the world of programming with daily three-hour workshops. Young people also have the option of experiencing summer camps on the island of Mallorca.
The entire program is designed to provide a few days of activities, learning about the chosen theme, sharing with your peers based on the values promoted by the Pere Tarrés Foundation, and experiencing exciting experiences. In addition, a series of outings are planned, such as a trip to the beach or a trip to Port Aventura. And all this without forgetting the great games and evenings, designed to foster teamwork and creativity. Many of the Pere Tarrés Foundation's summer camps are conducted in English, allowing you to spend a few days together in the language and improve your level.
Learning about values
The Pere Tarrés Foundation's summer camps are a balanced combination of education, fun, values, and quality teaching. For many children and adolescents, they are the first opportunity to test their independence and develop in an environment other than their family or school. The camps are organized with ecological criteria in mind, both in terms of waste management and environmental awareness among participants. Through specific activities, children learn good practices for caring for the planet and acquire tools to be more responsible with their environment. Once again, the Pere Tarrés Foundation demonstrates that well-thought-out leisure time is not only fun, but also educational. And that, for the children and young people of Catalonia, these camps continue to be an open door to discovery, coexistence, and personal growth.
