Oriol Nolis will direct TVE's entirely Catalan-language channel.
The project was announced earlier this year

BarcelonaJournalist and former director of RTVE in Catalonia, Oriol Nolis, will be the director. from the new TVE channel that will broadcast entirely in Catalan starting at the end of the year. As has progressed Abc and Efe later confirmed that Nolis will be in charge of directing the channel, which was announced last January by the Minister of the Presidency, Albert Dalmau, who confirmed the desire of Salvador Illa's government to "reorganize the audiovisual space" so that TVE, as a public service, can offer a channel solely in Catalan.
Born in Barcelona in 1978, Nolis has a degree in journalism and law from Pompeu Fabra University and began working at TVE Catalunya as a reporter in 2005, presenting the three editions of theInformative (midday, evening and weekend) of Catalonia. Later, he was a presenter on TVE's 24-Hour Channel and in 2013 and 2014 he presented the Weekend newscast on La 1, as well as The debate on La 1. After being removed as presenter of the Newscast for not having followed the editorial line imposed to report on 9-N, he returned to TVE Catalunya. Between 2018 and 2019, he again presented the Weekend newscast, a space that he finally abandoned for personal reasons. In 2020 he joined the RNE newscast, 24 Hours, presented by Marc Sala. He took over as director of RTVE's production center in Catalonia in July 2021, resigning in September 2023, arguing that, after two years in the position, it was time for "a change."
