BarcelonaCaroline Darian, the daughter of Gisèle Pelicot, has denounced her father, Dominique Pelicot, convicted of drugging and raping his wife for a decade, for "sexual assault." She herself said this in a "message to all the victims" to say that "one should never give up." The complaint, filed on Wednesday, includes five crimes, including "the administration of psychoactive substances" and "sexual abuse" that her father "clearly committed," she told Agence France Presse on Thursday, when she made the complaint public.

During the trial against Pelicot, Darian had already declared that she suspected that she had also been the victim of rape by her father, who denied it at all times. The suspicions are based on photographs in which she appears unconscious, lying on a bed wearing underwear that she says she does not recognize.

Dominique Pelicot, who was convicted of distributing images of Darian taken without his knowledge, has always denied having committed any incestuous act against his daughter. "Yes, she denied it, but she lied several times and told several versions of the story during the two and a half years of the investigation," Caroline Darian justifies.

The trial of Dominique Pelicot – who is serving a 20-year prison sentence for handing over his wife's body to fifty men to rape her – has had a lot of international echo due to the courage of the victim, Gisèle Pelicot, in denouncing sexual violence.

The disclosure of this new complaint coincides with the publication of a second book that Darian has written about rape victims, entitled Pour que el donde se souvienne [So that you remember].
