From Lloret beach to Cala Banys, the wild beauty of the Costa Brava
The route allows you to reach the castle of San Juan, Fenals beach or the gardens of Santa Clotilde.
Lloret Beach - Baños Cove
- Distance: about 5 km
- Elevation difference: about 95 meters
- Time: about two hours
We leave behind the bustle of Lloret beach and head south along a coastal path that meanders between rocks and pine trees. To the left, the cliff drops down to deep blue waters; to the right, the forest rises to the charming corner of Cala Banys.
The route is easy, but with small challenges: steep climbs and descents, steps and railings that add a touch of adventure and make it an ideal walk for both leisurely walkers and exercise lovers.
In Cala Banys, in high season, there is a bar-restaurant, often lively with live music. Further on, the path goes up to Sant Joan Castle, a medieval vestige declared a cultural asset of national interest. From its 60-metre height, the view over the sea and the coast is spectacular.
After admiring the landscape, we begin the descent until we reach the water. Fenals beach invites us to walk along its long stretch of sand and, if we feel like continuing, we can follow the coastal path to the Santa Clotilde Gardens. Or, if we prefer, we can return to Lloret along the same path. An itinerary that combines sun, fresh air and movement, perfect for disconnecting and discovering the wild beauty of the Costa Brava.
