The American rapper is the subject of Barça's shirt for the May 11th classic.
BarcelonaAfter Rosalía, Coldplay, and the Rolling Stones, Barça now knows which international musical artist it will feature on its shirt for the upcoming Clásico against Real Madrid. According to ARA, Hans-Dieter Flick's team will wear the Travis Scott logo in the match on May 11 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. The Houston-born rapper has prevailed over the other options Spotify, Barcelona's main sponsor since spring 2022, had for that decisive La Liga clash. Among these alternatives was British artist Ed Sheeran. There was also a strong rumor of Taylor Swift.
Scott, 33, is one of the American musicians with the most fans. He has more than 68 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Only Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, Bad Bunny, Ariana Grande, and Billie Eilish currently have more followers. The Texan rapper will be the sixth artist Barça has promoted for a La Liga derby. In this order, since 2022, these are the stars who have appeared on the front of the Barça shirt: Drake, Rosalía, The Rolling Stones, Karol G, and Coldplay. Only Rosalía and Coldplay have brought luck to the team. With the Catalan singer, Barça won 2-1 in the last La Liga derby at the old Camp Nou, while with the British band led by Chris Martin, the Catalan team thrashed the Santiago Bernabéu (0-4) a few months ago.

More of a singer than a rapper, according to himself, he went a step further with Astroworld (2018), an album featuring artists such as Kanye West, The Weeknd, Frank Ocean, and Drake, among others. During this time, he began a relationship with Kylie Jenner, which lasted until 2023; together they had two children. One of the most difficult moments in Travis Scott's career was in 2021 during a concert in Houston, where ten people died due to a stampede.
