Another performance by the Márquez brothers, with Marc winning the sprint race.
Alex Márquez finished second, ahead of Italian Pecco Bagnaia, at the Termas de Río Hondo circuit.

BarcelonaMarc Márquez (Ducati Desmosedici GP25) is having a perfect start to the season. After joining Ducati, the rider from Cervera has regained his confidence and is the most in-form rider in the World Championship. This Saturday, he took victory in the sprint race of the MotoGP Grand Prix of the Argentine Republic, again ahead of his brother Álex Márquez (Ducati Desmosedici GP24) and the Italian Francesco Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati5 Desmosed). For the moment, Bagnaia hasn't managed to catch the two Cervera brothers.
Marc Márquez, who had already achieved the pole position, dominated the short race throughout, confirming the good feeling he felt from the first Grand Prix of the season in Thailand, where he won both the sprint and long races. In today's race, he was only briefly threatened by his brother. By lap five, Marc and Àlex Márquez already had a lead of over 1.6 seconds over Bagnaia, and behind them, Fermín Aldeguer (Ducati Desmosedici GP24) and Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (Yamaha YZR M 1) were crashing. After only seven of the twelve laps of the race, the Márquez brothers already had a lead of over 2.2 seconds over Bagnaia, whose slipstream was trying to catch Zarco, with Di Giannantonio, Bezzecchi, and Morbidelli, who had overtaken him. Shark Closer, further back.
With three laps to go, Marc Márquez already had a half-second lead over his brother Àlex Márquez, consolidating his second consecutive sprint victory of the season. Pecco Bagnaia managed to take third, recovering one position, but far behind the two brothers. Johann Zarco finished fourth, recovering from a poor start that had seen him drop from third to sixth. Fabio Di Giannantonio, riding the Ducati GP25, finished fifth ahead of Marco Bezzecchi.
Six years later, Márquez has won again in Argentina, making a solid start to the season: three races, two short and one long, three wins. He now has 49 points in the overall standings, ahead of his brother, who has 38. Bagnaia is third with 30 points. The Grand Prix will be held this Sunday at 7 p.m. Catalan time, with the brothers as the big favorites.
