The most famous ingot, more intense than ever

For the first time since its launch in 2008, the 1 Million perfume leaves the main stages to immerse itself in a party undergroundMaster perfumers Christophe Raynaud and Quentin Bisch have reinvented the nocturnal character of 1 Million Night Elixir, which now stands out for its gourmand, amber, and woody notes. "With a rich, liqueur-like twist of maple syrup that brings a warm and addictive sweetness, with subtle toasted and caramelized nuances that glow throughout the night," explain the creators. Another sailor (bluer)

Jean-Paul Gaultier's already legendary Le Male also presents new developments. It's what they define as "a new wave, freer and more powerful." True to Gaultier's iconic bare torso, the bottle retains its silhouette, but with a new direction. Le Male in Blue, as this new version is called, is enveloped in a metallic blue crossed by translucent black streaks. Olfactorily, Le Male's iconic lavender unfolds "with a new intensity, bluer and more raw," as explained by the company. house The Parisian designer explains that "the metallic anise bursts forth like a sail taut in the wind" and that "its benzoin—dense and warm—seals the impulse, sweeping everything in its path." This limited edition of Le Male will be available in March.

The best ink

The veteran French firm El artisan perfumeur has launched a new fragrance this year within its extensive collection of niche perfumes. Founded in 1976 by perfumer Jean Laporte, the brand began experimenting with natural essences and original compositions to move away from traditional commercial perfumery and focus on innovative fragrances. A new example of this approach is L'amant, a perfume where "darkness reigns" and "the air becomes more intense." Created by perfumer Nathalie Lorson, L'amant tells the story of tension: between skin and ink, heat and cold, between the fire of allspice and the secret hidden deep within the wood. Its main notes are allspice leaves and patchouli.

The oud of the future

Emirates Pride Perfumes, a leading niche Arabian perfumery, recently chose Barcelona to launch its latest fragrance: Future Oud. The UAE-based brand asserts that this new perfume ushers in a new era in which cultural heritage is reinvented and preserved for future generations. For centuries, oud—one of the most precious and symbolic ingredients in Arabian perfumery—has traditionally been enjoyed by burning wood. Emirates Pride aims to maintain this tradition and these aromas while transforming this ancestral practice "into a modern, sustainable, and global luxury experience, tailored to the values and sensibilities of today's consumer." Future Oud, created in collaboration with the Catalan company Eurofragance, seeks to capture and amplify the emotional richness of natural oud while simultaneously reducing reliance on limited resources. The result is an ethereal, sophisticated, and expressive fragrance with excellent staying power, allowing the wearer to experience the natural intensity of oud without smoke or heaviness.
