The Two Synchronized

La Sincronitzada is the Olympic derogatory name with which the right on social media has christened the alleged team of opinion makers who, in the manner of Fuenteovejuna, defend the Sanchista talking points en masse every day. These days, with the fires in Madrid, some pointed out how the same message, with minimal variations, was spreading on X. "Ayuso's management is lowering taxes for the rich" they all began, some of which were obvious bots. The accusation goes so far as to insinuate that the allied opinion makers, who have obtained a seat in the august television talk shows thanks to their affiliation, had received the day's creed from Moncloa and had not bothered much to make it their own: copy, paste, and down. Surely the PSOE has these mechanisms to influence the published opinion in an organized manner, just as the rest of the parties do. It does not mean that all opinion makers have their backside rented: but there are many who, without detriment to their virtues, have reached it thanks to being a quota. And this entails a personal toll. From here, the ingenious nickname La Sincronitzada is just an attempt to point out in others the same blemish that they themselves carry.

Then I looked at the front pages and saw that those of Abc and La Razón coincided in putting a large photo of the king and queen speaking with fire victims. Given the striking images of the raging flames, the only explanation for opting for this image without any impact is the desire to send an identical and intentional political message: that Felipe and Letizia are offering comfort to the victims while Pedro Sánchez is encapsulated in his particular labyrinth. Again, the aim is to chip away at Sánchez's legitimacy to govern, instrumentalizing the figure of the monarchs. In one of the newspapers, it was highlighted that what was needed was "unity," according to the monarch. Leaving aside the emptiness of appealing to this scarce resource, it is ironic that one of the newspapers of exacerbation like La Razón adopts the concept while dividing and polarizing as much as it can and even a little more.
