The technical error on 'Els matins' that has gone viral: forty seconds had never lasted so long
Òscar Armengol and Ariadna Oltra, victims of drafting and directing errors, rename Sebastià Alzamora's book
During the program Els matins this Thursday, TV3's production suffered two synchronous technical errors that made the journalists in front of the cameras suffer. Journalist Òscar Armengol was announcing the winners of the Crítica Serra d'Or awards when a technical error multiplied his image instead of covering it with the presentation of the awards, establishing a peculiar dance of split screens. A few seconds later, the production team, far from rectifying the situation, also showed the image of Ariadna Oltra, who at that moment was listening to Armengol while drinking from her mug.
The scene, curious, showed the journalist frowning, while Oltra gestured to ask for corrections and, seeing that they weren't coming, let out a nervous smile to look back at the small table and wait. Far from resolving that multiplication of images, a box appeared in the lower part of the screen with the video of the segment, which lost momentary interest due to the production chaos. Òscar Armengol, however, apart from the inevitable surprised looks, continued with the news, only then making a mistake when stating the name of Sebastià Alzamora's winning poetry collection. Thus, Sala Augusta was deliriously renamed L’habitació de la Malena estarà lliure i disponible del 24 d'abril fins al 15 de juny de 2026, saps d'algú? due to a confusion in the teleprompter. The journalist realized halfway through reading the supposed title that something was wrong, while, on a split screen, Oltra made him hurried gestures to move on. The Majorcan writer took the error with a sense of humor and reacted on his X profile saying that he is keeping the title for a future volume.
