September was a month loaded with major releases, but October is not falling behind at all. The shadow of the release of Grand theft auto VI on November 19th continues to loom over the industry, forcing many companies to concentrate their new releases over the coming weeks so as not to be overshadowed. Let's review the highlights of a month in which there is no lack of variety.
October 2nd

Microsoft is committed to recovering one of its flagship sagas with a prequel that returns to the roots of the conflict, with darker and more intense action. Konami recovers one of the founding sagas of the metroidvania genre with its first major 2D installment in almost two decades. Developed in collaboration with the creators of Dead cells, the title follows in the footsteps of Rose Belmont in a dark adventure set in medieval Paris in 1499. A long-awaited return that promises to respect the classic essence of action and non-linear exploration thanks to an intricate level design.
October 22
The first title of Square Enix's flagship franchise designed completely with the attractive (and nostalgic) HD-2D aesthetic. October 22nd

October 23rd
The best-selling war action franchise in the industry definitively leaves behind the previous console generation to focus on current hardware. This new installment stands out for offering a much grittier and more cinematic campaign, although its classic cooperative and competitive online modes are not missing. Furthermore, it marks the saga's return to a Nintendo platform after more than a decade of absence.
October 27
The Valencian studio Deconstructeam returns hand-in-hand with publisher Devolver Digital with a unique narrative adventure.
