Spanish television makes its 'Sálvame' with 'The TV Family'

María Patiño, Aitor Albizua, and Inés Hernand present the new afternoon magazine show on La 1.

BarcelonaTelevisión Española (TVE) wants to win the battle for afternoon viewership, and that's why it's going all out. The public broadcaster has signed a large part of the team from the now-defunct Save me from Telecinco, which later led to the program Even if we were from Ten, for a new space called The TV family which premieres this Monday after being postponed last week due to the death of Pope Francis. The magazine show will be hosted by María Patiño, Aitor Albizua, and Inés Hernand and will air in two time slots: from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. In between, TVE will broadcast two series: Wild Valley and The Promise. In addition to the broadcast on La 1, the digital platform RTVE Play will bring together parallel content that will complement the program.

According to the network, The TV family It will be "a new daily program that will combine entertainment and enhance the role that public television should never lose: providing companionship to viewers in their homes." RTVE is producing it in conjunction with La Osa Producciones, the production company of Adrián Madrid and Óscar Cornejo, who were also behind other programs like this one.
