Journalist Saül Gordillo admits to the second sexual assault of a worker to avoid jail.

The agreement with the Prosecutor's Office and the private prosecution must now be reaffirmed by the court.

Gordillo accompanied the employee, who was showing "obvious symptoms of being influenced by alcohol consumption," and, before arriving home, he sexually assaulted her without her consent. According to the prosecution's statement, the young woman was "unable to react" due to her state after drinking alcohol during a night out with her colleagues and also due to taking benzodiazepines.

The agreement between the parties establishes a suspended sentence, which, if accepted by the judge, could allow Gordillo to avoid prison. However, to avoid jail, the journalist must not commit any crimes and must take a sex education course for four years.

The agreement reached by Gordillo's lawyer, Carles Monguilod, includes compensation of €30,000 for the second victim in the form of moral damages. The agreement also includes a two-year probation period, a two-year ban from working with minors, and a five-and-a-half-year restraining order against the victim. Initially, the prosecution had sought a four-year prison sentence for the former director of Catalunya Ràdio.
