Jordi Basté denounces censorship by TV3 and the television opens an internal investigation

BarcelonaThe management of TV3 will open an internal investigation to find out why a mention of RAC1 was censored during Monday's broadcast of the play Dones de ràdio after Jordi Basté reported the case on El Món a RAC1. During the Davantal section, the journalist explained that in the play, the character played by Àngels Gonyalons makes a mention of RAC1: she is a journalist who works at a successful station and specifies that it is RAC1. In contrast, when TV3 broadcast the play, the mention of RAC1 disappeared.

During the Davantal, Basté said: "TV3 is a television station that is too important, too beloved, and has too much history to allow itself a pettiness like this. Censorship, even when it lasts only two seconds, is not measured by the time it occupies, but by the mentality it reveals. And here it reveals an extraordinary lack of class: that of someone who, unable to bear the name of their neighbor, prefers to mutilate a work rather than coexist with reality. 'It is RAC1, I don't know why I am hiding it', says the text. We also do not know why they are hiding it".

The management of TV3 has been in contact with El Món a Rac1 and they explained that they were not aware of the events, which they condemn. For this reason, they have assured that they will open an internal investigation to find out what happened.
