The pressure to release their first album, Water, contributed to her discomfort: "There are things that are annoying [about the album], but I didn't feel identified; the process was very tedious." She even developed a fear of the studio and composing. "It gave me anxiety," she explains, "I cried because I didn't want to go." Now she finds herself in a completely different place. "I'm happy, I'm in a very cool moment, in a new era that I really like, writing my songs, talking about things I hadn't talked about before," she declared.

Chanel once again plays a relevant role in the Eurovision scene as the spokesperson for Spain's votes in this year's edition. She has publicly shown her support for Melody, the current Spanish representative. The two artists met at a press conference and, as the singer explained, Chanel locked Melody in a dressing room and kicked everyone out to ask her if she was really okay.
