BarcelonaBringing community policing closer to the viewer. This is the goal of Torn de guàrdia, the new documentary series produced by Betevé in collaboration with BCN Media HUB that premieres this Sunday at 9:30 p.m. Its eight episodes show the tasks carried out by police service units, narrated by themselves and in an immersive way: the officers have agreed to wear subjective cameras that allow the public to experience the actions from the officers' point of view. Thus, one can see both the raid on an establishment where drug trafficking is allegedly taking place, as well as high-speed motorcycle rides to attend traffic accidents or how the Urbana dogs act, capable of detecting narcotic substances and money.

In the premiere episode, it is shown how the teams from the Beach Section and the Forestry Section work, and how the extinguishing of the forest fire in Collserola this summer was managed. There are also chapters dedicated to the Victim Support Service (SAV), an essential team in assisting women who have suffered gender-based violence. Likewise, the Traffic Unit, the Canine Unit, or the Investigation Unit have dedicated episodes explaining what their work is like.

In addition to showing scenes full of action and operations that involve risk, the docuseries delves into the more personal side of the officers, both those who are starting in the force and those who are finishing their service after years. All of this is accompanied by testimonies from citizens who required the intervention of the Urban Guard.
