080 Barcelona Fashion says goodbye to the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site
Barcelona City Council is collaborating with Fashion Week for the first time with a €150,000 injection.

Barcelona080 Barcelona Fashion is already gearing up for its 36th edition, which will be held for the last time at the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site from October 14 to 17. After years in this emblematic space, the organizers consider it "to be too small," as they explained a few months ago, and are currently working to secure a new location for the spring edition. Sources from the organization confirm that the space has already been decided, but cannot be announced because the agreement has not yet been formalized. "The Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site is a wonderful space, but with this edition we mark a turning point in our relationship. We are working with a new space, trying to align all the stars and ensure the public enjoys a space that we believe will be a hit and that will speak volumes about Catalan fashion," said the Crafts and Fashion (CCAM), which reports to the Department of Business and Employment.
The new location is also related to the City Council's entry for the first time in the organization of 080. In this edition, the council's participation is reflected in a budget of 150,000 euros and two projects that aim to promote emerging talent and their professionalization, but looking ahead to 2026 "this collaboration". "We want 080 to have more parades, activities and also to be involved in the city", she stressed, making it very clear that the Barcelona City Council's participation in the fashion week "is here to stay" and they are working on different projects to expand 080, although they have not wanted to advance them.
Marta Coca, director of the fashion area of the CCAM and project manager 080 Barcelona Fashion has given more details about the next edition, in which there will be 25 fashion shows with the participation of 24 designers and brands, to which is added the fourth edition of the circular and sustainable fashion project 080 Reborn. Participating brands include well-known names such as Custo Barcelona, Dominnico, Simorra, Escorpio or Lola Casademunt by Maite, alongside more emerging proposals such as Aleixandri Studio, Acceptance Letter, Juan VG or Santamarta. These brands, Coca explained, "make up the identity of 080 and connect it with the international fashion scene." Along the same lines, Moisés Rodríguez highlighted that 080 Barcelona Fashion "allows us to place Catalan fashion on the global map, connecting designers with international markets and promoting a sector that is committed to innovation, sustainability and emerging talent."
Among the new features, it is worth highlighting the alliance between the Spain Gallery platform (a digital multiplatform project created by the influencer Fashion Week (Paula Viana) and 080 to promote and raise awareness of designer fashion. The goal is to showcase the potential and creativity of Spanish firms, boosting their international reach and increasing their visibility. Furthermore, the City Council is once again promoting the Barcelona Fashion Forward (BFF) entrepreneurship program through the Diseño Hub and Barcelona Activa. The program will present the four winning companies from its 6th edition during Fashion Week. This project also focuses on emerging designers and brands and aims to accelerate their professionalization and growth.
Another new feature of this edition is 080 Beyond Crafts, promoted by Artesanía de Catalunya (Catalan Crafts). This program aims to provide a space to highlight the creative processes of contemporary crafts and their relationship with fashion and culture. This year, it will be dedicated to hat-making.
