An unexpected circus
As a cowgirl, every day I encounter scenes that defy logic and common sense. It seems that the mountains and natural parks have become a circus in which tourists are the protagonists, and the cows, the involuntary clowns. The cows must leave to escape the tourists who chase them for selfies, as if they were a prop on their planned safari, one more item to immortalize in their collection of souvenirs. And what about the unleashed dogs? The owners confront me with a defiant attitude and look at me with contempt, often telling me to tie up my dog, too. As if they don't understand that I'm working. But the height of absurdity is when people want to eat sitting among the cows because, according to them, it's exciting. As if the animals were just another decorative element, an accessory to make their picnic more interesting. And the greatest danger is the wheeled vehicles that circulate on the roads and trails. These not only disturb the peace of the environment, but also cause damage to the fauna and flora. The risk of intercepting a calf crossing the path is very high.
I'm tired of trying to do my job calmly, of seeing how homo sapiens disrupt my routine and that of the animals. It seems they've forgotten that mountains and natural parks are spaces to be respected, not turned into an improvised circus. Perhaps we should put up signs with a bit of humor and irony that say: "Please do not disturb the cows. They are not a prop for your selfies. Keep your dogs on a leash. Leave motorcycles and quads at home. This is not Port Aventura!"

The obscenity of the Bank of Spain
Last month, we read in various media outlets that the Bank of Spain will spend €99,220 to buy 4,000 leather wallets to make its employees feel more identified with the institution.
It is assumed that if a person applies for a job at an institution like the Bank of Spain, to enjoy exceptional working conditions and salary, they are motivated and identify with the institution. That's why many of the people who work at the Bank of Spain will find this "gift" that is meant to improve their involvement insulting.
This dissatisfaction with the gift is demonstrated by the fact that many of these wallets are offered for sale on secondhand sites.
Perhaps these people would feel more identified with the entity if they were told that in their name, almost 100,000 euros will be subsidized for activities, services, and/or items for groups whose rights are ignored by the administration.
The Union of Mothers with Functional Diversity fights for the rights of our sons and daughters with disabilities, and we can give you some ideas on where to invest this money that could make the Bank of Spain and its employees proud.
We hope that the employees of the Bank of Spain, when they reject this gift that offends their professionalism, propose supportive alternatives, because surely these almost 100,000 euros are already considered spent.

There is no justification, none, of any kind, for allowing babies and children to die of malnutrition as is happening in Gaza. No conflict can ever be resolved with deaths. All the victims, especially the most innocent, are incomprehensible. And even more so when the perpetrators come from a long history of suffering as victims, for example at Auschwitz.
