Senegal approves increasing prison sentences to up to 10 years for having homosexual relations

Senegal's National Assembly has approved a controversial bill that toughens penalties for homosexual relations, increasing sentences to up to 10 years. The legislation was passed late Wednesday with 135 votes in favor, three abstentions, and no votes against.
