Russia says it expects a signal from Kiev to resume direct negotiations, but only if Ukraine recognizes the occupied territories.

Russia is willing to negotiate directly with Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. "Kyiv should take some action in this regard," he said. But before sitting down to talk, Kyiv must recognize Russian sovereignty over the occupied territories.
