The heatwave gripping Western Europe has led the United Kingdom to register the warmest June day since official records began (1884) this Wednesday. The thermometer reached 36 degrees in Wisley, Surrey, in the south of Great Britain, surpassing a record of 35.6 degrees from 1976.
