The National Court acquits Villarejo of the espionage work for Repsol and Caixabank

The appeals chamber of the National Court has acquitted former police commissioner José Manuel Villarejo of the espionage work he carried out for Repsol and Caixabank, for which he was sentenced to eight years in prison. The National Court has now reversed its decision, ruling that the statute of limitations has expired.
