The Council of Ministers approves the increase in the minimum wage and the exemption from personal income tax.

The Council of Ministers has approved the increase in the minimum interprofessional wage (SMI). 1,221 euros gross in 14 payments, 3.1% more than in 2025. This is an increase of 37 euros per month compared to the 2025 amount (1,184 euros per month) or 518 euros more per year, without income tax.
