Pension spending rises 6% in December, to a record €13.75 billion

This December, the Social Security system allocated a record €13.75 billion to the payment of regular monthly contributory pensions, 5.98% more than in the same month of 2024. The amount was paid out through 10,434,856 pensions to more than 9.4 million people.
