Jordi Soldevila replaces Maria Lluïsa Martínez Gistau in CaixaBank's communication management
The new Communications director was until now CEO of BuildingCenter
BarcelonaRevolution in the Communication and Institutional Relations department of CaixaBank. The historic Maria Lluïsa Martínez Gistau steps down from leading this department after a quarter of a century, and will be replaced by Jordi Soldevila, until now heading the entity's real estate business as CEO of BuildingCenter and Director of Real Estate for Repossessed Assets at CaixaBank. This was notified this Friday by the entity chaired by Tomàs Muniesa to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
The communication explains that CaixaBank's board of directors has agreed, in its meeting this Friday, to appoint Jordi Soldevila as Director of Communication and Institutional Relations of the financial entity, as well as his incorporation into the management committee, replacing Maria Lluïsa Martínez Gistau. The effectiveness of this incorporation is pending suitability verification by the European Central Bank (ECB).
Jordi Soldevila has stated that he "takes on this new challenge with the commitment to continue driving the development of the activity and contributing to the entity's growth by continuing the work done in recent years." He also highlighted "the strategic importance of communication and institutional relations as key levers for the entity's positioning and reputation”.
Maria Lluïsa Martínez has held this position for 25 years, 10 of which she has been part of the entity's management committee. Martínez Gistau commented that she "approaches this new stage with enthusiasm, closing a professional cycle at the entity." She also noted that during all these years at CaixaBank she has acquired extensive experience that will allow her to face new professional challenges in other sectors." Maria Lluïsa Martínez Gistau will remain linked to the Communication and Institutional Relations department of CaixaBank in the coming months to facilitate an orderly transition process towards Jordi Soldevila's new functions.

Jordi Soldevila has been until now CEO of BuildingCenter and Director of Real Estate of CaixaBank's Foreclosed Assets. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from IQS and has executive training from IESE. He has developed his entire professional career within the CaixaBank group, which provides him with a deep knowledge of the organization, its business, and the financial and real estate sectors.
New CEO of BuildingCenter
The current general director of BuildingCenter, Borja Kaiser, has been appointed a director of the company, and his upcoming appointment as CEO of BuildingCenter to replace Soldevila in the position is planned.
