Foreclosures soar 19% in the second quarter

The number of foreclosures on primary residences stood at 2,902 in the second quarter, the highest figure in two and a half years, 19.6% higher than the previous quarter and 28.1% higher than the same quarter in 2024, according to statistics published by the INE (National Institute of Statistics and Census).
