The Aventura restaurant group will be in charge of this new project, with a menu created by chef Albert Ventura, behind other restaurants in the city such as Coure, Grill Room Bar Thonet, and Vraba. This decision was made by the board of directors of the Port of Barcelona, which granted them a 20-year concession.

The new establishment marks a new phase for this space, which aims to connect with a city that seems to have forgotten it still has fishermen, even though their numbers are dwindling. To this end, a new space has also been opened. the fishermen's wharfUntil a few months ago, the area was closed to the public, and a walkway has been created allowing access to the viewing area and a live view of the auction.
The restaurant, helmed by Ventura, will offer a gastronomic experience based on seafood from local fishermen, with a menu that will vary according to the daily auction. It will be located on the first floor, in a space of almost 293 square meters, and will have a covered terrace.
This is Ventura's fifth project. First, in 2005, he opened Coure (Pasaje Marimon, 20). Then came the Grill Room Bar Thonet (Escudellers, 8) and Coure Andorra (Calle de la Borda, 3, Andorra la Vella). The last project was Vraba (Muelle de España), the restaurant that opened at the Copa América interpretation center, located in the former Imax cinema, which thus managed to postpone its demolition.
Ready for the NYK vehicle terminal works
The Port of Barcelona also used its board meeting this Wednesday to give final approval to the concession for the new car terminal to Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK). The Japanese shipping company, which has the second largest fleet of ships dedicated to transporting automobiles, will invest 75 million euros in the construction of the terminal, the third of its kind at the Catalan port. With the paperwork now complete, the company can begin construction in the coming months. It is expected to be operational by early 2027.
