Aena will invest 153 million in the comprehensive remodeling of T2 at El Prat

BarcelonaAena plans to invest 153.4 million euros between 2027 and 2031 in the comprehensive renovation of Terminal T2 at Barcelona-El Prat airport. “These are very important actions,” stated the director of the infrastructure, Eva Valenzuela, at a press conference, who equated this action to those carried out for the Olympic Games.

The project includes the renovation of interior and exterior spaces, the reopening and integration of module A, and the expansion of the area before security checks. It also plans for a new entrance and the reorganization of roads and pedestrian routes. The action does not plan to expand the capacity of the facilities and will be compatible with the airport's usual operations.

The renovation works of electromechanical elements have already begun, and the rest of the actions are planned to be completed before 2032.
