The concentration camp of the islands of San Simón and San Antón, in Galicia, declared a place of historical memory

The government has declared the islands of San Simón and San Antón, in the Vigo estuary, as a Place of Democratic Memory. On these islands, there was a Francoist concentration camp between October 1936 and March 1943, and more than 5,600 Republican prisoners passed through them.
