BarcelonaShakira has announced two new dates for her concert series in Madrid. This means she will perform eleven shows in the same city –over four consecutive weekends, from September 18 to October 11–, surpassing the record of ten concerts that Bad Bunny will offer at Atlètic de Madrid's stadium, the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, next spring, between May and June. However, while Benito will also visit Barcelona on May 22 and 23, Shakira will not set foot in Barcelona (nor any other European capital).

Eight years, a separation, and a trial with the Tax Agency after the artist's last concert in Spain, there was clearly a desire for Shakira. Producer Live Nation has announced that 450,000 tickets have been sold in a few hours for the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour concerts, which will conclude a year of touring around the world. The singer not only performs songs from her latest album, or later songs like Soltera or Algo tú, which have been great hits, but also reviews her entire career from the era of Pies descalzos and Servicio de lavandería. Additionally, she has announced that there will be special performances that she will announce in the coming months.

Shakira's performance promises to be more than just a concert: the artist wants it to be a celebration of the Latin community. In fact, a few days ago she announced that she would not perform in a stadium, but would erect her own venue, which she has named Shakira Stadium, and which will be located at Iberdrola Music, the place where, for example, the Mad Cool festival is held. Besides the music, she has explained that there will be a themed venue, Macondo Park, where more concerts, exhibitions, debates, markets, and gastronomy will take place under the umbrella of Es Latina. There will also be a children's area and a space for the Pies Descalzos Foundation.

The space covers 40 hectares, four of which will be for the stadium, which will be able to accommodate 50,000 people in the stands each night and will feature a large immersive screen. Fifteen hectares will be for activities before and after the concert, from midday to midnight. The space will be designed by architects BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group). Live Nation has released spectacular images and the singer has written: "Dios mío, ¡este estadio se ve increíble! Can’t wait to see you all at my European residency in Madrid!"

The concerts are announced at a sweet moment for an artist who keeps breaking records. On March 1st, she gathered 400,000 people at the Zócalo in Mexico City for a free concert: a record. She is making the highest-grossing tour in history by a Hispanic artist: a record of 460 million dollars and 3.3 million tickets sold so far. The pace of ticket sales for Madrid, which is already a record, suggests a new global milestone. Ticket prices are also record-breaking: from 119 euros for standing room to 1,000 euros for access to the most exclusive terrace to watch the concert.
