Sex, swear words, and unnecessary jokes in a film about dogs' crotches.

Wow, what a shock Netflix's 2025 animation crop makes. After excellent feature films like the new one from Wallace & Gromit or the phenomenon The K-pop warriors and such successful series as Devil May Cry and Asterix and Obelix: The Boss Fight, they only needed to finish paying it with a clumsiness like DisarrayThis animated comedy for adults, and very much for adults, also comes with an author's signature: that of the great Genndy Tartakovsky, creator of, among others,Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack and director of The Powerpuff Girls, Star Wars: Clone Wars and Hotel Transylvania. Aristocracy of the cartoon.

Disarray It's a stretchbot that if it were a comic it would be a fan-comic. Or perhaps a strip –something between endearing and mischievous– ofThursdayAnd if it were a film starring humans—as Tartakovsky originally intended—it would be a crude college comedy like the ones made by the Farrelly brothers or Seth Rogen at the turn of the century. But this is the 2D animated story of a dog's last night before being neutered. As a starting point, it's so anachronistic, incorrect, and crazy that it's actually untimely. A remark that, despite being remarkable, has very interesting implications regarding classism and racism—among dogs, the differences in breed and lineage are as obvious as they are metaphorical—or toxic masculinity. In the end, Disarray It's about absurd group dynamics in which those with balls are still valued above others.
