Carme Elias receives the Gold Medal for Cultural Merit of Barcelona: "I am happy, I live in the present and I don't think about what comes next"

Actress Carme Elias received the Gold Medal for Cultural Merit from the Barcelona City Council on Wednesday. Mayor Jaume Collboni highlighted both her artistic career and the "serenity" and "dignity" with which the actress has publicly discussed her experience living with Alzheimer's disease.
